Ontex is a worldwide supplier of disposable hygiene products. They have manufacturing facilities in 20 countries and their products are distributed throughout over 110 countries. [1]

History[edit]

Ontex was created in 1979 in Belgium. They started out as company who produced underpads for hospitals, clinics, and care homes in Belgium. By the 1990s, they had expanded their product range to include disposable incontinence pants and pads, diapers, and panty liners. They also had acquired multiple distribution and production facilities in Europe. Their first factory outside of Europe opened in 2006 in China, which was followed by a manufacturing plant in Algeria. In 2011, Ontex acquired Lille Healthcare, one of Europe's largest disposable hygiene product suppliers. In 2013, Serenity brands were acquired. In 2017, Hypermarcas S.A., a Brazilian personal hygiene company, was acquired. [2]
